Hello there,
Today was my first contact with everything arduino and I am really really hyped.
My project essentialy boils down to this :
Have a scratch program that powers an el wire or an el tape if a button in makey makey is pressed (I dont have only two cases but this is not the problem now).
Now, I have the el escudo dos mounted on my arduino, followed the instructions here to the letter and everything worked as it should.
(I connected the 12v inverter and hooked it directly on the el escudo board. So far, so good, dear old me is satisfied.
Now comes the problem: How control the el's with a makey makey?
Be patient with me please as it is my first contact with this and I want to be really OCD about getting it 100% correct before I do anything rash.
The way I get it is that I can get only one 5v control signal out from the makey makey? Is this correct? And how do I connect my makey makey to the arduino/el escudo ? I ve been searching for quite a few hours for an answer but I only got the monome project and powering a single led .
Any input will be really appreciated.
P.S : To clarify things, I am not a student who wants to finish an assignment easily (although I wish I was one again :D) . I am on the other side, that of the teacher. Whose last contact with electronics was in a graduate course ~18 years ago. ![]()
