Arduino Mega 1280 + Bluetooth Mate Gold

Hi,
I have the Arduino Mega 1280 and the Bluetooth Mate Gold, just wondering if it's possible to use this bluetooth device with my Arduino?

I read that it is designed specifically to be used with the Arduino Pros and LilyPad Arduinos.

If anyone could tell me how to modify it to work with a Mega 1280 I'd be very greatful!
