Arduino mega 2560 led problem...

Hi.

I just bought a new Arduino mega 2560 and it works fine. But the led behind gnd and pin 13 does not work. only when i touch the ATMEGA2560 chip the led starts to light up.

i dont know why please help...

There is actually no code. its was when i first plug the board in to the usb cable the problem starts.

i can send a video if you like...

This is normal and expected. If you want the LED to do something, you need to upload a sketch that controls that pin. I recommend starting with the Blink example sketch you'll find at File > Examples > 01.Basics > Blink. There is a tutorial to go along with it here:

Thanks for the help. it works completely fine now. But the ATMEGA2560 gest a little bit warm after time (5-10 minutes). Do i need a heat sink??
