The other day I plugged in my Arduino Mega 2560 like normal and went to upload a new sketch however it gave me the error: avrdude: stk500v2_ReceiveMessage(): timeout
avrdude: stk500v2_getsync(): timeout communicating with programmer
An error occurred while uploading the sketch." I noticed the 16u2 chip getting hot so thought maybe this had burnt out and went and got myself a new mega with wifi this time. However when i went to try upload a new sketch to this it also didnt work and gave me that error again. Ive tried multiple arduinos now, different cables different PCs and updated all of the drivers and windows itself but am still having these issues.
