Arduino mega 2560, stk500v2_ReceiveMessage(): timeout error

Hello,

I have a problem setting up my arduino mega 2560 for the first time. While the loop-back test works fine, I'm unable to upload my sketch : my arduino doesn't respond.

The messages in the console during the upload are :

avrdude done.  Thank you.

The L led is blinking when I reboot the arduino, and the Rx led flash briefly with each send.

I tried another computer, but the result is the same. I have windows 7

Thanks in advance for any help

I had a similar error with the same board Do you have any other Arduino board? You said that you have Windows 7... did you try to delete the drivers and reinstall them?

Unfortunatly, I don't have another board (or a programmer) I would have tried to burn a new bootloader on my mega if I had.

And yes, I did try to reinstall the drivers (did try to upgrade them too, also with another version of the arduino software, also on another OS)

Have you connected any component to port 0 or 1. See http://www.parkansky.com/arduino-error.htm

No, nothing connected to the board (excepted the usb ;) )
