Hi Newbie Question

Is it possible to control a 16 channel relay board with the ardunio mega?

Yes it is possible, but how you do it depends on the type of board, there are many relay PCBs produced for Arduino and they all do not look or are controlled the same way.

Can you post a link to specs/data and or where you purchased the relay PCB?

Thank you for the reply, as yet I haven't purchased either the Arduino mega or the 16 channel relay board so would be open to recommendations on suitability. Bit of a strange project but looking to make an adjustable putting green. I have worked out a suitable frame and base material and am looking at using 8 high force linear actuators to manoeuvre the green for various slope degrees based on length of time the actuator is set at high. I also want to use a Nextion screen to give a nice gui. As a newbie the mechanical side I am happy with but will have to put in quite a few hours work to get to grips with the coding.

Any help or advice welcome

Hi,
If you want to use a Nextion screen, that is probably what you should be investigating first.

But if you have not coded Arduino and or C++, you would best be to get a Mega or UNO and start some of the tutorials online to get used to the environment.

Timing an actuator is probably not the best way to calculate inclination, as the actuator speed will be dependent on load.
Some form of angular feedback from the putting green would be more reliable.
