I have an Arduino Mega 2560 which was working just fine a few days ago. I've just been working with it and now it's not being recognized by any computer, not even as an un-recognized device.
After connect to the computer , it's get power up and led also light but any computer doesn't recognized Arduino board ,
The cable and computer port just working fine because if i connect new arduino Mega 2560 it get work as usual . The problem should be on the Arduino
I am using a Intel(R) Core(TM) i3-5010U CPU
my OS is Windows 8.1
any Ideas how to fix this ???
Hi.
You are not giving anyone much to work with so if you can add any additional info such as computer type, OS etc etc you may get a better response.
It sounds like something changed so maybe if you remove any additional hardware you have connected to the board and try again just for starters.

I don't think this a problem of the Computer or OS and i am not using any additional hardware right now. it's just arduino mega 2560 board

If nothing has changed on your PC, then just buy a new Mega 2560 and assume you blew out the first one.
Windows 10 seems to be giving a lot of people issues with Arduinos.
I beta tested win 10 for a while but became disillusioned at the amount of changes it made without my knowledge
If you can maybe try a different computer and USB cables by any chance ?
USB cables can sometimes work great then fail intermittently.
I wish I had win 10 to help you more but its still too insecure and big brother for me to bother with it.
There have been reports similar to yours of working one day then not the next with win 10 so don't rule it out.
Not sure if yours is a true Arduino or not (nobody here cares BTW) but some reports indicate re-installation of drivers sometimes works.
Apology...
Not had enough caffeine this morning LOL
Wasn't win 8 giving issues with some of the IDE's too ?

I don't recall.
It seems that many have stayed with Win7 or jumped on to Win10. Many posts on Win10 problems.
I am staying put with Linux Mint.

What are the drivers ??? i have to re-install
Drivers depend on if it is an official or unofficial Arduino. (nobody cares where you got it BTW)
If its a Chinese copy then HERE
if its FTDI then HERE
If its a real Arduino then they are in the drivers folder inside the IDE folder
