Quick question, I have a Arduino Mega using It with JMRI and CMRI to operate my Ho layout, and I’m wanting to use servos for my turnouts, can I use the same arduino for both or do I need 2 separate Arduino’s, because every time I get my servos to operate, then I try to operate my locomotives, I have to reload my Command Station back to the Arduino
I say YES. But. How much RAM and flash is still free on board?
For none railroad fanatics You could explain the shortenings...
How are you proposing to do that?
Specifically, how do you prevent the servos running against end stops?
How are you powering the servos? How are you attempting to power the Mega?
Are you using a separate sketch to control the turnouts? You can only have one sketch installed at a time.
Did you integrate the turnout controls into the Command Station sketch? Perhaps there is a programming bug that causes your combined sketch to fail when you control the turnouts.
Try asking on the CMRI or Arduini groups at groups.io as well.
As for answering here, more information is required.
