Arduino Mega Input Voltage Supply

i have an Arduino Mega and i would like to ask if the Arduino Mega can have a input voltage supply of 15V. Can this have some future problems in the internal voltage regulator of the Arduino itself?

Provided you're powering it through the barrel jack or Vin, yes. The regulator is rated for up to 20V ( per Arduino Mega 2560 Rev3 — Arduino Official Store ) - but the higher the input voltage, the more heat the regulator generates for the same amount of current at 5v. So if using a 15v supply, you can't draw as much current from the 5v rail without the regulator overheating as you could if you had a 9v or 12v supply.

The highest voltage that any of the I/O pins should ever be exposed to is still 5V.
