Arduino MEGA question.

What is the purpose of the dual LDO V Regulator? It is not apparent to me.

Show in the upper left corner of the schematic

On the board one is a DPAK and the other is a SOT-223

It's just showing two possible different LDO regulator options, of which only one type is mounted on the board. The other device is the auto-voltage switching MOSFET transistor.

Well that's what I thought, but yet there it was on the board - but after I looked at the physical board instead of the picture I could see that you are correct.

I miss-took the 6 pin IC for the MOSFET and forgot about the dual Op-Amp.
