Arduino Micro connect with Shield

Hi all,

I am doing an project where I got provided with an Arduino Micro board (sensor part) and they need to control a servo from distance (controlled by another Arduino board).
I want to use Wifi to communicate these 2 boards because the project scale may get bigger with more boards.
I want to ask whether Arduino Micro can use Arduino Wifi Shield? If can, how?
I found some sources saying that it is not compatible.
