Arduino micro powered by 9v battery with a sensor (5v) and LED(9v)

Hi there,

I have been in a trouble to create a circuit with sensors and LED that require different voltages.

If anyone knows about this well, please help me.

My circuit is very simple.

Arduino micro: use vin and GND pins
External battery: 9v sharing + with vin and - with GND pins of Arduino
Transistor + LED: connecting to +,- and PWM pin with a 10k resistor

A touch sensor: +, - with a 10k resistor

Only having LED was totally fine. It worked perfect but when I hook up the touch sensor, it burnt out my Arduino.

What is the best way for me to solve this problem?

Thanks in advance,

Draw a schematic and tell us what this anonymous "touch sensor" is.
