Arduino Micro stalls during upload

I have an Ardunio Micro running on MacOS Sierra 10.12.3 and the sketch stalls during the upload phase. My arduino IDE version is 1.8.2. I turned verbose on and the error message is below. I tried searching for the problem but I couldn't find a solution that worked for me. Does anyone know how to get around this?

Figured out the problem. I actually had a Nano and was trying to upload the code as micro. Once I changed the board within the IDE it worked like a charm. That could've saved me a lot of time.
