Arduino Micro stops working until repowered

I made a speedo calibrater using an arduino uno and it worked great so I thought I would Change it to a micro to save space but now it will run for about a minute then my speedo will die, if I power it down and back on it works again but still only for a minute, is there something with maybe the micros memory or something that can't handle it? I have double checked wiring and joints and it all looks good
