I noticed the only difference between old version and rev2 is that rev2 has no UV sensor (pads still there). Did they just ran out of stock of the UV sensor, ship out a bunch of unfinished boards and shamelessly call it rev2 ?

Arduino MKR ENV Shield rev2 is a downgrade without UV sensor?
