Arduino MKR Vidor 4000

Hello,

I am seeking help trying to connect my recently purchased Arduino MKR Vidor 4000 to the Arduino IDE for a second time.

Going through the "Getting started with Arduino MKR Vidor 4000"
URL: https://www.arduino.cc/en/Guide/MKRVidor4000#toc2

I downloaded the latest version of the SAMD Beta Boards (Version 1.6.25) and was able to connect to the MKR4000 just fine. I uploaded the blink sketch and saw the little red light blink for few seconds and then out of nowhere I heard the windows disconnect sound and the red light turn off.

Now when I try to connect to MKR4000 my Ports option, under Tools, is grayed out.

How do I know if I accidentally damaged my device?

I am running a Windows 10 Laptop, with Arduino 1.8.5.

Can you please check if connecting to a different USB port has windows recognize the board? Easiest way is to open device manager and see if the list of devices is refreshed when connecting the board. Note that video requires quite some current so not all USB ports can be used as some PCs have current limitation that prevents board to work. Also, please try doubletapping the button on the board immediately after plugging the board. You should see the led "breathing". If this is the case the board is alive
