Arduino MKR WIFI 1010 SAMD21

Hi!

I am working on building the Arduino MKR WIFI 1010 on a PCB. Regarding the Microcontroller ATSAMD21G18A-48QFN, I know there are many variants, and I wanted to make sure I pick the right one.

I think the ATSAMD21G18A-MU could be what I am looking for but wanted to know what other variants might be better. Any help and tips are greatly appreciated.

That depends on Your demands that You didn't specify.
Making a prototype, one way or the other, is mandatory.

Would be connecting 4 sensors to it, so the microcontroller variant would need to handle continuous data collecting.

Tells nothing. Good luck.

The "ATSAMD21G18A" is the microcontroller. The "48QFN" defines the physical package that the die is in, which in turn defines the pinout, the individual pad placement for each pin etc.

Whichever package you choose, you are still getting the same microcontroller.

Ok, what would define "the right one"? Are you looking for the exact part that Arduino used on the MKR WIFI 1010?

That would be helpful to know, most websites and schematics just say D21G18.

This is the description in the design file:
