Arduino MKR1000 Not Detected

So when I first got the Arduino Board it was visible on the set up and would allow me to go on to name the board, however; at the time I was unsure if I needed to have it all connected before proceeding.
Skipping ahead I put my first project together which was the self stabilising motorcycle, I connected the MKR1000 board to my Mac again and the board is no longer visible.

I have searched on the forum and followed a suggestion to unwire and disconnect the MKR1000 board from the shield and motor carrier and to try again, to no avail.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Please see below an image I've screen snapped to show my problem.

and here it is in my Macs settings

I'm new to this so I apologise if I'm missing something really simple.

Quick Edit: I failed to mention, when connected via USB the MKR1000 board 'On' light is visible and is green.

Try this:

Press and release the reset button on your board quickly twice. You should now see the LED on the board pulsing, which means the bootloader is running.

Now try using Arduino Create Boards Manager again. Hopefully it will be detected this time.

Hey guys, I have a similar problem, the "getting started" page does not detect Arduino Uno connected to the desktop. Initially, it woked OK for a couple of days, but then got stuck with "Busy" sign while uploading. And now it does not see the board at all. I have re-installed the plug-in several times. Have reset the board many times as well.

Still, everything is fine with the same board when connecting with laptop to the editor. Any idea what could be done on my desktop to fix? Many thanks

I have the some problem in mac. I think is something about the permissions.
