I picked up an Arduino Motor Shield R3
it requires 12v power for a stepper motor
does it also power the Uno R3?
or do i still need to give the UNO seperate power?
That shield with ancient L298 chip is not really suitable for stepper motors.
Post a link to the stepper you're planning to drive with it.
