Hi everyone,
Not sure if I'm posting in the right place but I was wondering if anyone know if the Arduino Motor Shield R3 is discontinued ?
I'm working on a class and I wanted to use it for the main project.
Thank you very much !

That motor driver is an ancient design and may not even work for your motors, so tell us about them, and what you will use for a motor power supply. Post links to the data sheets or product pages.
Hi,
Thanks for the answer !
I already have one and I know it'll work, I just want a simple motor shield that will be available for the next 1 or 2 years.
I'll find something else, no worry !
Arduino isn't the only supplier of that type of shield.
Google "Arduino motor shield" (images).
Here's one.
Adafruit's v2 motorshield could be a better choice. Clones on ebay.

this is kind of simple motor shield that you talk about.

Yes.
v1 of the shield uses the ancient/lossy L293D. El cheapo suppliers still sell that v1 board.
v2 usues TB6612 mosfet drivers, with about twice the current capability.
Smaller chips, because they are more efficient (get less hot).
