I want to know how many pins the arduino motor shield uses from the arduino uno r3. I red it uses 8 pins, so does tha means that I am only left with 5 digits pins , or can I use the pin on the shield ?
The shield uses six digital pins (3,8,9,11,12,13) and two analog input pins (A0,A1). That leaves eight of the 14 digital pins (0,1,2,4,5,6,7,10) and four of the six analog input pins (A2, A3, A4, A5). Note that A2-5 can also be used as digital I/O pins.
