Arduino Nano 3.0 doesn't power up anymore by Vin

Hi,

i have an Arduino Nano 3.0... Till yesterday i was able to power it up using Vin (i simply put a 9V battery, + on Vin and - on GND); today i tried to wire up a switch for a power supply (also at 9V), but it didn't work... and now also by yesterday's battery power cable doesn't power up the Nano...

It works normally by USB.. Before the Nano started to don't power up by Vin, i got the power led on when applying the battery (only the power led, but the software didn't load), but now neither the power led lights up..

No problem by USB.

Could it be that reversing the 9V cables caused this ?

Thanx in advance

It sounds like you could have damaged the voltage regulator if you did connect the 9v upo backwards.

Replacing the tiny regulator on that board is tricky, but you could hook up an external regulator if you want battery power.

For ac power there are lots of cheap USB power adapters that you could use that should work (I just ordered this one: http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.25863)
