Arduino Nano Not Recognised After Reboot

Hi,

I have just finished building an Arduino ambilight setup using a nano.
During the construction, whilst trying to upload the software, I rebooted my nano using its power supply. Upon trying to power it again, my computer said DEVICE NOT RECOGNISED.

I was irritated, but put it off as a faulty board. I happened to have another board, so after finishing the ambilight construction I uploaded the relevant software and all was working great.
I came to turn it on again and the computer was unable to recognise it. The same as the other arduino. I now was sure it wasn't a faulty board as it had worked initially.

I have tried uploading a simple sketch after pressing the reset button... to no avail.
I have checked the drivers are correct, swapped the cables and also reinstalled the arduino software.

Has anyone got any idea what this is and how I can fix it?! It's getting expensive!

Cheers Alex  :sob:

It does sound like an error in your code.
You may want to post it using CODE TAGS ( </> )

A schematic might also be useful to those wanting to help.

Bob.

Does the problem still occur if you connect just the Nano alone (with no other components like power supply, LED strip, etc. connected) to your computer?
