Arduino Nano : problem with power surge

Hi there,

Since a coupls of days, when connecting my arduino nano to my PC, this error appears :

2019-10-21-10_20_24-Window

I tried with different cables, and it's the same error.

When I connect another device (arduino uno for example) everything works just fine...

I'm using windows 10 on my PC, and I already tried to change the USB settings (uninstall the devices in Universal Serial Bus Controllers) and nothing has worked.

Has it happen to anyone ? What can be done ?

Thanks in advance for the help

Welcome to the forum

Your topic was MOVED to its current forum category which is more appropriate than the original as it has nothing to do with Installation and Troubleshooting of the IDE

My guess is that there is a short circuit in the Nano or something connected to it. What is connected to it and how ?

Thanks for the help

For the moment, it's not connected to anything, it just the nano through USB

The Nano is drawing far too much current, so it seems to be damaged.

Then either the Nano is damaged or it is touching something that is allowing too much current to be drawn from the USB connector

Uuuh, if it's damaged, what can be done ?

The fact that you had to ask what the problem was in the first place indicates to me that your chances of fixing it are zero

Buy a new one

I thought that would have been a numeri problem that could be fixed...
Thanks for your answers anyway

toutes mes condoléances.

Hihihi merci Pete
