Arduino nano ubuntu 10.10

Hello,

I have an arduino nano which connected to my ubuntu 10.10 perfectly work. But if my arduini nano 3.0 is externally powered, there is an error:

[39779.161295] usb 2-2.2: new full speed USB device using uhci_hcd and address 11 [39779.573023] usb 2-2.2: device not accepting address 11, error -71 [39779.574357] hub 2-2:1.0: unable to enumerate USB device on port 2

If i connect my arduino usb and after i power on externally, that's work??

What's the matter?

Thanks

Hi,

I'm not sure if I understand you correctly. Did you say that if you connect the USB cable to the Arduino Nano after it powered externally via VIN pin and it work?

We don't have ubuntu here so I can't run any test. Do you know if ubuntu will run on Virtual Machine?

No,

I connect the nano with USB, so power by USB, the connection with UBUNTU 10.10 works, then i connect the nano externally with Vin without disconnect USB and the connection still works. I want externall power because i need lot power.

If i power externally first then connect the USB port, that's not work.

Ubuntu is not in a virtual machine.

Thanks
