hello,
I just got a nano board. I installed the driver and it works like a charm. But sometimes when I unplug then plug it again windows doesn't recognize it anymore and I've got the unknown device problem. When I ry to update the driver windows tells me that my device driver is perfect no need to update it.
Any tips ?
Download and install FTDI driver suitable for your OS from http://www.ftdichip.com
even if windows tells you that the drivers are up to date.
That's what I'm already trying to do : I browse my files and choose the driver that I donwloaded but just after that windows don't uodate my driver : "Windows has determined the driver software for your device is up to date" and so I am unable to change the driver!
And in fact, my arduino nano appears in the device manager under the usb bus controller and not under COM and LPT ports.
You have to force windows to use a driver you want to use.
So do not go by windows recommendation and instead select the other option and point to the directory where you downloaded the FTDI driver
and it should work.
