Hello all!
I'm having issues with my Arduino UNO. I can't get it to really work well with Labview 2012 at all. I've spend hours upon hours on the National Instruments website trying to figure out if its a labview issue, but all attempts to fix haven't worked.
The only thing that they say might fix my issues is that my arduino does not show up as "Arduino UNO" on my Device Manager. Under [Ports (COM/LPT)] my connection only shows as [USB Serial Port (COM4)]. I've tried on windows 7 and windows 8 and both times when I install the IDE software then plug in my arduino it shows up as the USB Serial port (COM4).
I saw on the FAQ page this topic, but nothing on that list helped me. Also, these are two brand new installations of windows 7 and 8. (With proper installation of drivers) so everything is 100% fresh factory settings for jacking with tons of com ports.
If anyone has any insight into this I would be greatly appreciated.

** Edit: I should also note that the IDE and any self programmed scripts work perfectly. I'm needing to use Labview for my senior design project!
