Arduino on breadboard fail to program by IDE

Dear all,

I'm writing to get help with my project.

I'm building a mini-robot to play with my child: it is based on an Atmel328P that I would like to program with Arduino IDE. I bought the Atmel328P with Arduino Bootloader flashed.

For the schema I followed this tutorial: https://www.arduino.cc/en/Main/Standalone

Attached you can find my schema too.

Now: the problem is that I fail to flsasj skect on 328P. To program it I'm using this usb2serial Accessories — Arduino Official Store connected following the tutorial reccomendation.

When try to upload skect I can se the Atmel328P reset (led on D13 blink) but I got this error:
avrdude: stk500_recv(): programmer is not responding
avrdude: stk500_getsync() attempt 1 of 10: not in sync: resp=0x00

Can anyone help me?

You can try holding the Reset key down until just after your sketch is compiled and as the IDE starts the upload. This can be tricky to do ,but will work after you get the timing down.

Put a 100nF capacitor between the DTR lead and Reset and it should work without timing the release of the Reset switch.
