My two Arduino OPTA Wi-Fi devices (one connected on Wi-Fi, the other one connected using ethernet to Arduino cloud) stopped updating data on cloud dashboard. The problem was noticed after about 36 hours of data loss. The devices were in the lab under testing. When I found out the problem I tried the following:
- Disconnected from internet by ethernet cable pull-out and reconnected - did not work, only for ethernet connection type. For Wifi did not try this.
- Tried OTA sketch update - did not work for both devices
- The devices showed status as online on cloud dashboard / things interface but no data
- Finally connected using USB cable and uploaded the sketches afresh, the devices started showing data on Arduino cloud
Prior to this problem, the devices were working fine for more than a week.
What could be the issue? How to ensure this does not recur? Any suggestion are welcome.
