arduino or basic stamp

Anybody can take a totally free copy from here:
www.rhombus-tek.com/mcs/bcavrdmo.zip
or directly from MCS in Holland here (bottom of page):
http://www.mcselec.com/index.php?option=com_docman&task=cat_view&gid=99&Itemid=54
or complete package with Arduino equivalent examples from:
www.rhombus-tek.com/BC4Duino.html

The only restriction is program size which elsewhere I projected as 14.5k of Arduino C (4k of BASCOM).
I represent Rhombus, which is one of 43 resellers world-wide. Rhombus has sold 1 or more full licenses (the $99 ones) to many big name US companies starting with: MS,TI,HP,Boeing..... and several branches of the US Military.

So all the efforts by you and 'mem' to deride the product, is really like water off a duck's back for me - but unfortunately other readers will believe your input.

It is unfair to those members that do not have your knowledge, and expertise, as you continue to steer them away from this compiler - more than this thread.

Yet further, you are curbing the spread of Arduino by restricting the software to your own specific areas of expertise. Many more Schools could well be influenced to go the Arduino route if Structured Basic is also available.

If you both feel aloof of BASCOM that is fine, but you may wish to just turn a blind eye and allow less experienced individuals make their own evaluation - just as the above Big Name Companies did.

I personally have invested considerable time in contributing an easy start to BASCOM package using 'Arduino Hardware' - your matching contribution could be simply to standback
