Back in the days I bought my 79EUR copy of BASCOM
Although it supports more processors that Arduino does at the moment I found the usability of the IDE quite poor...
It is exactly one of the reasons why I started developing arduino, BASCOM and the BasicX IDE had really bad usability and a lot of unnecessary settings the user had to go through to get started.
BTW all those libraries you mention are all available for arduino and the help files are indexed... by google
