Arduino picture every 5 minutes and send to server -> possible?

Hi all,

I have to start a project that will use a battery powered device that can take a picture every 5 minutes and send it to a server. I was wondering if you know if Arduino could do that?

I don't need a camera that is always on and that records everything. This will need to take a picture every 5 minutes and send like a small jpeg to a server.

The next issue would be that it needs to take the picture at 5 cm range so that could be a problem but this is something I will have to work after. First I need to start with the right device meaning the cheapest solution possible.

What you want is possible.
Search for OV760 camera in the forum, that could be an okay one to take pictures with.
Then the server part, lots of posts are around on that.
