Can any one tell me please how much current an arduino mega 2560 provide,in mili amps or mirco amps. Because I am trying to implement LED dot matrix and I m just confused on current limitation .
That the current that arduino provide is sufficient to drive an led or not ?

800 milliamp between the mega and anything you have connected, if you supply 7.5V to the barrel jack connector.
If you have 9-12V, the regulator will overheat at a lower current.
