Arduino PLC IDE - Support for MacOS and Linux on the feature roadmap?

Hello, I was curious if the PLC IDE will eventually support more platforms than just MS Windows in the future. I'm interested specifically in MacOS, but I also have a Linux machine and don't want to spend money and/or effort on a WIndows license, virutal machines, etc. just to run a single application. If the PLC IDE isn't an option will we get the ability to upload sketches over the network to the PLCs eventually?

Mac and Linux support would be a ground braking move in industrial automation. Windows haters in industrial automation have completely no options.

So true

Linux/MacOS PLC IDE would be a game changer (and IMO an huge opportunity for Arduino) but it seems that only a massive petition could work.
As anternative, maybe some open plc editor with Arduino libraries

Lets ask this question in 2025 too. So? There will be a Linux support, will not?
