Hi!
After running some tests with the basic Arduino IDE (led blinking, etc.), I tried to configure the PLC IDE with my new Opta.
Only one serial port is found (COM3), and downloading the runtime does not work (I get an error of Invalid serial port / No DFU USB device available / exit status 74).
I did try to change the computer, the cable, reset the PLC, nothing works.
Any idea?
Best
Hi, thanks for your answer.
I did try everything that is listed on the page you mentioned (IDE Tools installed, other USB ports, etc.), still one port only (and download not working).
Another thing I noted, while using the classic Arduino IDE (not PLC) : when I start my PLC, my computer detects it with COM3 only.
However, when I upload a simple sketch file, I see the COM4 instead (and the IDE runs the OPTA with COM4), and COM3 is not shown anymore...
If I reset (double-tap on reset button), COM3 comes back (alone). If I upload a new sketch file, it's replaced by COM4.
I think that the change of COM ports results from the bootloader mode that OPTA enters when uploading a program. In my case, when having problems with port detection, I had to manually set the drivers for the Win10 system using the Zadig program.
