Arduino Plugin Not Detected - University Campus

Hello,

I have Sierra on my Mac and I work on a university campus - but I can't get my Arduino to connect on Arduino Create. I have editing privileges for my computer, but I am having trouble connecting my Arduino and running it on Arduino Create. I've attempted to install the plugin and reboot my computer but I continually get the error "We are not able to detect the installed plugin." I have my Arduino connected via USB and it won't seemingly get recognized no matter what I do. Any advice/further troubleshooting appreciated.

There are a few threads specific to MAC's and a few specific to educational environments.

There is a little information lacking from your post so for now I would suggest reading the threads that may pertain to your issues.

More so the one "How To Use This Section Of The Forum" near the top.

@erikarydberg have you tried to use the plugin somewhere else (e.g. at home with a different network?), there is known issue with the plugin behind proxy, as in your University Campus.

We have tried to create a proxy in our environment but no luck debugging for now. We will keep you posted, thanks for reporting this!

Yes it might be an issue with the proxy. We have issues with other devices, but I had no issues until the Sierra update. I'll take my Ardunios home and try them there.

I've troubleshooted following a number of the other post(s) on this topic to no avail, thus my post. I also attempted using Windows in bootcamp to see if there was any way I could get it to work in Windows over Sierra, but that also was not successful.

So you are not able to connect to the plugin over Windows or MacOS X Sierra both form your university campus and home? Were you able to use the Create Editor + Plugin before updating to Sierra? What browser are you using?

Thanks!
