Arduino Pro and Arduino Pro Mini

We're very happy to announce the launch of the Arduino Pro and Arduino Pro Mini, designed and manufactured by SparkFun. For details, see the blog post.

fantastic...when will it be ready for selling?

It’s on sale now, see: http://www.sparkfun.com/commerce/news.php?id=185

Mellis,

Can you elaborate on dimensions and weight?

Thanks,

JD

The sizes are now on the hardware page. I don't have the weight, sorry. Anyone with a good scale and the boards?

I received the Arduino Pro mini's today as a distributor of Sparkfun. The mini measures:

33mm (L) x 18mm (W) x 2.5-3mm (H)

Weight: 1 gram

It works with 3.3V and runs at 8MHz. It behaves like a LilyPad Arduino. The Mini includes a 3.3V voltage regulator.

It is my understanding that the Arduino Pro can use standard FTDI USB cables. My question is: Do you need a special 3.3V version like the TTL-232R-3V3? I've failed to see this fact detailed (or the cable offered) on Sparkfun site (or mentioned on the blog).

Thanks,

Miguel

I've been using the 5V version with no problems. But it's possible it could cause problems in the long run.

Thanks David!

Good to know I may not need to buy yet another cable
