i have two 32u4 pro micros that i attach to a ps vita joystick , both of them work fine, but one of them gets really hot, same setup, same sketch. Should i be do something? i tried lowering the clock speed with
CLKPR = 0x80;
CLKPR = 0x01;
but doesn' seem to work
any help?

Does it get hot with nothing attached ? then get rid of it and buy a new one.
yeah it may broken but at first try to clean the ROM/Flash/EEPROM

also if you use 5v to power ST7789 screen that you dont say just power off and wait after so minutes power
There is no mention of a ST7789 in OP's post. So why do you mention it? It only adds possible confusion.
its an example 3.3v device
no. give the correct voltage. its seperated to 5v and 3.3v
