I am using a USB-TTL loader which does not have a reset pin, only (GND, 5V, RX, TX)
now unable to load for some reason..i get error message shown below
avrdude: stk500_getsync(): not in sync: resp=0x00
Press & hold Reset. Start the IDE download. When it shows "compiled xxx of 32xxx bytes" release the button. May take a couple of tries to get the timing right.
Can be easier to see it coming with File:Preferences, Verbose outputs selected.
Alternately - get an FT232 based module that has DTR available.
i am connecting to my laptop..will try it now..many thanks for your fast reply..
When I had this trouble I succeeded by wiring an external reset button. It was easier to press and hold and got me going again.
