I'm based in Perth, WA and require the services of an experienced Arduino programmer to assist with datalogging integration.
About our requirements:
We use an Arduino to collect data from an unconfined compressive strength test rig. The rig has the sensor to be able to capture the distance (height) the anvil travels but this data is not collected.
I need someone that is able to get this functionality up and running for an up and coming test campaign. Please note that the machine cannot be shipped so you'd have to work from our office in Osborne Park.
Some questions that your developer will probably have;
How many positions do you need to log
How precise should the measurement be 5%, 1%, 0.1% ?
What to do with the data once it's recorded? Offload to some other device? View on PC?
How to differentiate between different sets of measurements?
When to start/stop?
The actual data capture is simple enough, but it's the operational aspects that tend to have the most impact, in my experience.
I'm in the US so clearly not local. In the event that you have trouble finding someone local to do this, I'd be willing to consider it, and you can contact me by PM to discuss cost and timeframe.
Or even if you just want to discuss how to approach it with a local person: I know how difficult it can be to evaluate what someone is doing if you're not familiar with the work needed. Happy to help there if I can.
