Hi Everyone,
I'd like to introduce Cirkit Designer, a new tool for designing and prototyping Arduino projects!
Link: Cirkit Designer
Topic:
Designing and building an Arduino project typically involves several tasks:
- Figuring out how to design your project by reading online tutorials
- Using a diagramming tool to create a wiring diagram
- Using an IDE (probably the Arduino IDE) to write and test code for the project
- Finding and ordering parts from a distributor such as Digi-Key, Mouser, Avnet, etc.
We've built Cirkit Designer to streamline all of those steps inside a single design tool!
Cirkit Designer is a Free desktop application that allows you to:
-
Create wiring diagrams
- Cirkit Designer has a library of 1,000+ components
- You can create new components with a custom component creator
-
Develop, compile, and upload Arduino code inside the IDE
- Cirkit Designer's IDE offers many of the same capabilities and interface as the Arduino IDE, providing a familiar interface
-
Order parts directly from a bill-of-materials that is dynamically linked to all of the major distributors
- The bill-of-materials provides part data-sheets, real-time pricing and availability, and the ability to purchase parts for your project
-
Access a community-developed library of reference circuit designs
- Reference designs include documentation, wiring, code, and part information
- A reference design can be imported into an existing project to expand the capabilities of your project
- The goal is to reuse more designs instead of re-inventing the wheel each time you start a new project
Currently, Cirkit Designer is available for Windows and Mac, and we're looking into adding support for Linux.
We're encouraging you to share your constructive criticism. This will help us to make Cirkit Designer a great tool for the Arduino community!
