Arduino Real Time Clock

Hello,
I have a Sensor. The Sensor sending all 2 Hours a value. The other Time, he is sleeping.
Now i want to do with a Real Time Clock the Arduino Sensor wake up, that he send the value and than he is going to sleep until the next timepoint.
Someone knows whether it is going with the RTC DS1307 or have anyone an other idea to do this.

The DS1307 can generate a pulse to wake the Arduino up. It is not a terribly accurate clock. The DS3231 is a more accurate clock, for about the same price.
