Arduino Robot Control Board Upload not possible

Using Arduino IDE 1.x

HW: Arduino Robot
SW: 1.0.5 IDE on Mac OS X 10.8.5 and Win 8.0

It is quite impossible to upload sketches to the Arduino Robot Control Board!
Upload to the Robot Motor Board works fine, so computer, cable, drivers and whatever are fine.

But the strange bootloader / reset setup makes it impossible to upload sketches,
even with unplug / plug the USB cable, holding down the reset button till upload shows up on IDE,
pressing reset botton twice and so on.
I just succeed in 1 out of about 100 attempts to upload a sketch :frowning:
This is far, far away from a useable product.

Is it quite the same if the ISP port is used for programming?
Why it does not behave like the motor board, which works fine?

Any bugfix?
What about to put a switch to select between run and programm the control board,
it would only cost one IO and some lines in the bootloader?

I 've just buy the Arduino Robot today...

And I have the same issue described by Michael Bot. It is impossible upload any Sketch! =(

Any idea, suggestion?

I have a Mac OS/X 10.9.1 and an IDE 1.0.5.

I had this issue too. I I got mine through Adafruit. Here's what I did, other found different solutions:
