Hello, I am trying to clone "Z" axis with "A" axis, jumper (Y) Blue and Yellow separately, but when test, only the stepper motor connected to "Z" axis is running, I changed the motors and still only the "Z" axis run. "A" axis in not running. Any Idea what can be wrong?
- Using Arduino UNO, CNC Shield V3 running GRBL.
Please use schematics to show us. Poetry is always uncertain and unsafe.
Post a photo of the "clone" jumper settings on the CNC shield.
Exactly this picture differences are all jumpers in the axis X, Y, Z & A.
Only the step and dir pins for the desired clone should be jumpered. One set of pins only if any.
Please post a photo because your answer is ambiguous to me.
Hi groundFungus, I am Adding the picture you ask, hope it helps to you to give me the answer I need to setup this machine.
As shown above, you are cloning the Y axis, not the Z axis. Move both jumpers one to the left to the Z axis.
Sorry picture is not correct it is in the Z. I was in transit when I make for you.
Then the clone jumpers are set correctly to clone the Y axis to the A axis. And, still, only 1 Y axis motor runs?
I cannot see your setup and I do not know what you have done so it is really hard to help.
Please answer the following questions:
What stepper drivers are you using? Are driver modules installed in all 4 positions? Has the coil current limit been set properly on all the drivers? What commands are you using to test the motors? Or are you using the jog in UGS? Have you tried testing the motors without Grbl?
Can you post photos of YOUR actual setup. please. Not something downloaded from the net.
Just change all the stepper drivers and now both are working. Thanks for your help
