hello i have installed the arduino software and it will not let me change a thin at all can some one help me plz

ware it say
for (int i = 0; i < 512; i++)
i need it to say 4096 but it will not let me change it or any thin at all

What happens if you go to "File" and click on "New" ?

i am not sure

i just install it and ran it and i went to change a line but it will not

that is all i did
