Arduino Starter Kit: Cannot Connect to Arduino

Hello,

I've recently bought a Arduino starter kit and I'm having trouble connecting with it. I've had a look at help forms but they all lead me to the device manager and selecting a "port". I'm using windows 10, 64 bit but the device manager does not show port at all. The port button on the IDE is greyed out too, and I have tried to change the programmer to USBtinyISP and USBasp but I get a error when I try to burn bootloader.

I downloaded the IDE from the app store, so my guess is windows hasn't installed the drivers properly?
I've also tried the online editor but it has the same affect and I cannot comunicate with the board at all.

I'm new to this so I apologise if I am missing out on something easy.

With Device Manager open, do you see any new devices appear when you plug in your Arduino?

Don't mess with that unless you actually understand what you're doing. Even if you did, likely it wouldn't do you any good in this situation.
