arduino, stepper motor and L298

Hi!

I have a stepper motor NEMA-23 Bipolar 50mm Stepper - 3308_0 at Phidgets, which I would like to controll with arduino. I looked at "biolar stepper two-wire circuit with L293D hbridge", and i noticed that L293 is to weak for my motor. So i bought L298 as a replacement. Now i dont have any idea how to "replace" hbridge (pins on it are not the same).

Could anyone help me with this?

So i did a little research and came out with two circuits...

would this work?

If you wire the motor correctly, probably yes! However the second one forces both windings to be permanently on - either break out the enables or simply use the first circuit.
