HI, I just got this sunfounder kit and realized it needed an arduino board to run, so I got that too. But I am confused as to how it all works. I have never done anything like it before. I connected everything up and then saw I had to do something with the Uno R3 board. I played around with the thing for several hours. I still don't understand how it works or really anything about it at all! Sorry! Can someone explain to me. Help!!! I also looked at the troubleshooting thing and on the internet, but I still couldn't fathom what was going on.
It depends on what ways you learn best. There are lots of videos on youtube showing how to do stuff with Arduino. Or there are online tutorials and lessons, such as on the Adafruit website, here's some to start: Overview | Arduino Lesson 0. Getting Started | Adafruit Learning System. SparkFun has lessons/tutorials too: What is an Arduino? - SparkFun Learn
Just look around on the web, I'm sure you will find something to clue you in. Read a lot. When you're done with that, read some more.
Go to the public library and check out some books. These are the ones I liked and I found at the library:
