Has there been an Arduino-styled tablet before, like the Rasbary Pi one from the San Fransico Maker fair? I was thinking of making something like that (but not as powerful). I was also wondering what Lcd screen I could use, I thought this screen could work (http://imall.iteadstudio.com/display/tft-lcm/im120419007.html), with this BOB (http://imall.iteadstudio.com/im120417008.html). What are your suggestions/comments?
popa
P.S. I did not use url tags because the were glitching and the to links merged LOL
What do you mean by "Tablet"
People have done Arduino's to LCD touch screens, but I'd not call them tablets.
The memory in the Arduino is too small to load loads of separate Apps etc. Just the code to run the display etc takes a significant proportion of the available program space on the Uno etc
I don't think this is a practical proposition.
If you want a tablet controlled Arduino, you are better off buying a cheap Android tablet and communicating with an Arduino board via Serial direct cable or via Bluetooth to the Arduino using a Bluetooth to serial module attached to the Arduino.
