For a school project I am wanting to make a device that has a counter, timer and clock showing real time. There needs to be a button to trigger the counter, as well as two more to start/stop the timer and one to reset it.
At the moment I have an Arduino (RedBoard made by Sparkfun), 3x 7 Segment serial displays and a 9-volt battery system to power it all. As well as all the jumper wires, break away headers etc. that you would need.
I don't have much of an idea about this stuff. So I was wondering if someone could help me with a wiring diagram and some sample code.
Hi there and welcome to the forum. Do you want to learn about Arduino? Or do you want someone to do your homework for you? If the former, even though this isn't a terribly complex project, it's a bit ambitious if you haven't gained some experience yet. Start small and work your way through the learning curve. Have you blinked any LEDs yet? If the latter, you will find that many folks here aren't interested in such enterprise (?)
Off you go then! Go get your hands dirty and when you get stuck, ask questions. This forum is a great resource. To get the most out of it, have a look through this: http://forum.arduino.cc/index.php/topic,148850.0.html
